Users accessing store.apple.com on iOS devices will notice the difference

As expected, Apple has made minor adjustments to its online store after a scheduled outage this morning, adding touch-based controls for navigation.

Customers accessing store.apple.com on their iPhones and iPads will notice that Apple has included a touch-based navigation system for the subsections of the venue.

Now you can scroll sideways using a reel-type navigation bar for the services and products under iPhone, iPad, Mac, and so on. Have a look at the screenshot above. It’s just a still, but I can confirm that the products bar under “Shop iPad” will move under your fingers.

The change certainly isn’t mind blowing, but it’s an effort on Apple’s behalf that we feel deserves some attention. Why? It may just indicate that Apple is finally rolling out its first touch-enabled Macs. You know, like the Microsoft Surface. Only better.
