Apple has confirmed it will host its Q1 2009 financial results conference call at 2PM PT (5PM ET) on Wednesday, January 21. Anyone interested in listening Apple’s conference call webcast can do so freely, as long as you have QuickTime installed.

Apple representatives are set to talk financial performance, achievements and goals. A second segment of the webcast will consist of a question-and-answer (Q&A) session.

As usual, Apple urges listeners to note that “Comments made during this call may include forward-looking statements that are subject to risks and uncertainties, and that actual results may differ materially from these forward-looking statements.”

Parties interested in gaining more information on the factors that could influence the results are advised to refer to Apple’s SEC filings. During the Q4 2008 conference call, Apple revealed it had $25 billion in its pocket with no outstanding debt.

“The transmission is the property of Apple and protected by U.S. copyright law and international treaties. Any encoding, rebroadcast, retransmission, reproduction, or distribution of any part of the material from the transmission is strictly prohibited without prior written approval from Apple,” the company says.

The company headquartered in Cupertino, California, is expected to provide holiday sales figures, as well as possible insight into its future plans. Those plans may range from new products and hardware / software updates to new pricing and new marketing strategies. However, the company isn't expected to make any straightforward assertions, but merely to provide hints to its future plans.

Although missed at the Macworld Expo this year, Apple's CEO, Steve Jobs, may pop up for a few minutes during the conference call, if only just to keep the Q&A session under control.

Remember, Apple’s conference call webcast discussing Q1 – 2009 financial results will begin at 2:00pm PT/5:00pm ET on Wednesday, January 21, 2009. To listen to the webcast, you'll need QuickTime installed on your computer.
