On the “News and Announcements” section for developers, Apple has posted a brief memo regarding a new set of guidelines that app sellers need to abide.

The App Store Review Guidelines specify the type of app that gets approved and the type of app likely to get rejected, which makes it mandatory to read through this rulebook before coding.

“Check out the latest App Store Review Guidelines before submitting your new or updated apps for review,” reads Apple’s August 14 announcement.

The Cupertino giant adds, “We review all apps against these guidelines to ensure they are reliable, perform as expected, and are free of objectionable material.”

The documentation is accessible to all registered Apple developers. Unfortunately, Apple doesn’t specify exactly what changed in the guidelines. Any developer who can spot the changes is more than welcome to share with the rest of the class.
