Apple has published the schedule for its conference call webcast discussing Q4 - 2010 financial results noting that the conference will take place on, Monday, October 18th, between 2:00pm PT and 5:00pm ET.

On its QuickTime web site, the company reveals that “Apple’s conference call webcast discussing Q4 - 2010 financial results will begin at 2:00pm PT/5:00pm ET on Monday, October 18, 2010.”

“Please note that comments made during this call may include forward-looking statements that are subject to risks and uncertainties, and that actual results may differ materially from these forward-looking statements,” Apple says.

“For more information on the factors that could influence results, please refer to Apple’s SEC filings,” the Mac maker adds.

QuickTime is required to attend the conference call, which is why Apple offers up the free download right there in the announcement.

“Be prepared - Get QuickTime now,” it says.

As usual, the Cupertino, California giant also notes that…:

“This transmission is the property of Apple and protected by U.S. copyright law and international treaties. Any encoding, rebroadcast, retransmission, reproduction or distribution of any part of the material from the transmission is strictly prohibited without prior written approval from Apple. Please contact Apple Public Relations with any questions.”

Analysts expect Apple to report $3.98 EPS on $18.56 billion in revenue. According to MacDailyNews, on July 20, 2010, Apple CFO Peter Oppenheimer guided for "revenue of about $18 billion" and "diluted earnings per share of about $3.44."

The successful iPad launch will undoubtedly be noted as an important factor this time around, while iPod sales remain everyone’s guess.

For example, the last time Apple disclosed its financial results, iPod sales had slightly dropped, in comparison to the year-ago quarter.

With three new iPods just recently launched, it will be interesting to see how the revamped lineup affected Apple’s bottom line.
