The latest iOS 6 builds targeting new-generation iPads are now available for download via Apple’s official servers. The IPSWs are made available for customers looking to perform a clean install, if required.

As Apple prepares to ship the first batch of new-generation iPads this Friday, November 2, the company has posted two new iOS 6 builds on its servers, enabling early adopters to have the required IPSW at hand in case of an emergency.

iPad2,5 version 6.0 (Build 10A406) and iPad3,4 version 6.0 (Build 10A407) are free downloads for anyone, but the software will only apply to the designated hardware.

iPad2,5 represents the iPad mini, while iPad3,4 is the designation for Apple’s fourth-generation iPad.

Use the link below to download the firmware you need (plus for iPhone and iPod touch). The iPad mini IPSW weighs in at 819 MB, while the iPad 4 software package is a hefty 1.1 GB download.
