The last couple of days, Apple has been throwing in new TV commercials featuring third-party applications available for iPhone and iPod touch. The third such ad features three new applications that truly bring out the best in the iPhone.

Apple kicks off the ad by showcasing SnowReports, an app that gives you the ability to create a personalized report of all your favorite ski resorts worldwide.

“Imagine the Weather app but for snow reports! A helpful companion if you ski or snowboard,” says developer Eddit Incorporated. Reports are provided by OnTheSnow.com, the #1 visited snow sports site, according to the iTunes App Store description. Also worth noting is that, unlike other reporting apps, Snow Reports won't expire each year. Main features include the ability to select from over 2,000 resorts worldwide, track up to 16 of your favorite resorts, open status, surface condition, recent snow and base depths and full report, weather and cams a click away.

Lose It!, the second app featured in the new commercial, lets users set goals and establish a daily calorie budget that they can meet. Users enter food and exercise easily using a searchable database, also being able to quickly re-enter foods and meals they've had in the past. The app's developer touts Lose It! as “the most complete and streamlined weight loss application available for the iPhone.” Apple seems to buy it.

One last impression act is provided by G-park, an app that has the simple task of reminding you where you parked your car. Boasting G-Fi Mobile GPS Network Router Support, G-Park brings up Google Maps and creates turn-by-turn directions that will take you right back to your car. The app also provides an easy-to-use interface for taking a photo of your parking spot, and even to enter notes, such as the section / floor you parked on.

Hit up the iPhone 3G section on Apple's web site to view all the latest iPhone ads, or check in the App Store to browse for apps, including these three.
