If you’re curious to know if the RAW images spit out by your digital camera are supported in OS X Mavericks, there’s an easy way to find out.

Apple has released documentation detailing the supported digital camera RAW formats in OS X 10.9.

The Cupertino giant outlines that, “Digital camera RAW formats retain more image information than JPEGs and can produce better results when used with imaging applications such as Aperture and iPhoto.”

Apple notes that the latest version of its Mac OS provides “system-level” support for hundreds of digital camera RAW formats from a great variety of cameras, all of which are listed in Support document HT5955.

Supported camera brands include Canon, Epson, Fujifilm, Hasselblad, Kodak, Konica, Leaf, Leica, Nikon, and every other big name you can think of.
