Apple this week released a new version of its Logic Remote companion app for iPad users and, while the iTunes description does its bit to convey the major changes in version 1.0.1, there’s more to the update than meets the eye.

Buried deep in the Apple Support site is one HT5863 knowledge base article which reveals the full set of changes included in the new music app – many more than what we’d previously seen on the App Store.

I won’t go into the specifics, but those of you who rely on Logic Remote for pro-level music recording should really give it a glance (if you haven’t done so already).

Don’t go just yet. In tandem with the full changelog thing, Apple also rolled out two more support documents which include troubleshooting tips for connectivity.

For instance, if your Logic Remote app doesn’t connect to Logic Pro X, it may be the fault of some Firewall settings, as described in KB article TS5173.

The app may also fail to connect if a Touch OSC device is already installed in Logic Pro X. The resolution is described in support article TS5172.
