Apple is reportedly eyeing Handseeing Information Technology Co., Ltd., a company concentrated on working "rich internet" applications with a focus on online gaming, according to an executive with the Chinese studio, Computerworld reveals.

Tian Bo, deputy general manager with Handseeing reportedly confirmed that talks were taking place with Apple, but declined to offer any details on the acquisition. "We are talking with Apple. This is certain," he said. "Any further news we have will be released to the media." In typical manner for the company headquartered at 1 Infinite Loop, Cupertino, California, Apple could not be reached for comment.

Founded in 2005, Handseeing is based in Chengdu and Suzhou. It was established in by senior staffs who’ve been engaging in the field for more than 10 years, while the key management personnel have had a long history of cooperation, according to the company’s profile.

200 people are actively working for Handseeing at the moment. The company’s main technology is RIA high-end Application Engine, while the main business model is RIA super community and RIA online games, the Linkedin profile for Chengdu Handseeing Information Technology Co., Ltd. states.

The description also reveals that Handseeing is partners with SUN. Handseeing apparently founded and currently manages the SUN RIA Laboratory of Advanced Technology Development Platform. In June, 2009, the company reportedlty gained the capital of 50 million RMB investment from Green Pine Capital Partners Co., Ltd.

Some were not convinced by the news that Apple could be interested in buying the firm, when the rumor initially emerged. For example, when Chinese SinoCast Daily Business Beat reported that Apple was preparing to purchase Handseeing Information Technology, Mac-focused site MacRumors was uncertain whether or not the news was accurate. Others labeled the report as a rumor as well, but it appears to be more than confirmed now.
