Apple Organizes iPhone Tech Talks

- In Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and New York City...

By: Victor Mihailescu, Apple News Editor

Apple’s strategy of letting developers play with the iPhone via the browser and Web 2.0 technologies has proven to be very practical so far, with plenty of applications and no inherent loss of security and stability. While the iPhone applications are built on open standards that should work the same across all
browsers, the device itself is unique enough to require special attention if you are to get the most out of it.

After publishing iPhone development guidelines on the Web for anybody to access, the company is taking thing one step further and is organizing iPhone Tech Talks across major U.S. cities.
These talks will be centered on the iPhone and Web 2.0, participants being able to hear in-depth technical information as well as tips on optimization from experts. Participants will get a much better grasp on how to take advantage of the specific features and capabilities of the device.

Being more than just talk, the event will also feature presentations and demonstrations, followed by practical application of the knowledge with experts that will help design, code, debug and test your solutions on the iPhone. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring their portables and iPhone application code.

While the event will be free for Apple Developer Connection members, even those who have not yet joined this program can participate by signing up for a free ADC Online membership and then register for an iPhone Tech Talk.
