Apple's chain of UK based retail stores has seven locations at this time, but next week, there are going to be eight stores
available, since the new store in Southampton will open this Saturday. I'll get to it right away, but first, we have to take a look at Apple's retail chain all over the world...
In the beginning of last year's October, Apple had 167 stores open, including 149 in the United States, 4 in Canada, 7 in the United Kingdom and, at last, another 7 in Japan. Depending on the store, the entire Apple product line of consumer hardware and software should be available. Organized into so-called "solution zones", these stores have dedicated areas for movies, photos, music and kids. Apart from Apple's own products, selected third party accessories are also available, and many stores feature a theater used for workshops and presentations, but all of them offer free workshops on Apple products.
The opening of a new Apple store is always an event that deserves all your attention, often attracting thousands of customers that line up early in the morning or even the night before, and just the free T-shirt is worth a few hours of your morning sleep...
Located at WestQuay, Southampton, the new UK store will open at 9AM on the 10th of February, and the first 1,000 customers at the door will receive a free Apple T-shirt.
