The causes for the lack of supply are still unknown

Not too long ago, the section for refurbished items on Apple's store suddenly became strangely empty, and stayed so for about three days.

All people got when visiting the page was a message saying “Sorry there are no products available, please check back later.”

There was no explanation for the occurrence, which also happened to be the longest in recent history and affected both the US and Europe.

Fortunately, whatever the cause, it has been surpassed (according to AppleInsider) and there are even discounts ranging from 10 to 38% compared to retail pricing.

Speculations lean towards a system error being the root of the problem, but other reports mentioned simple lack of stocks, although it is curious that used Macs, iPads, iPods and clearance items all ran out at the same time.

If you want to buy a product that was owned by someone else, returned to and rehabilitated by Apple, you can go ahead and order one now.
