Alongside iOS 7.1 Beta 4, Apple has released Xcode 5.1 Beta 4 (build 5B90f) for development purposes involving the latest OS X and iOS installments.
“This is a pre-release version of the complete Xcode developer toolset for Mac, iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Please review the Release Notes before installing. Xcode 5.1 beta 4 requires OS X Mountain Lion or later,” Apple says in a memo on its iOS Dev Center.
Labeled as build 5B90f, Xcode 5.1 beta 4 supports application development for iOS 7.1, OS X 10.9 (Mavericks), and OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion). Developers can run the build on OS X 10.9 and OS X 10.8.4 or newer.
The seed note includes information on the issues resolved in this new release, as well as the remaining problems that need to be addressed. For Server testers, OS X Server 3.0.1 or later is required for use with Xcode 5.1.
