Members of the AppleSeed software testing program are beginning to receive notifications that a near-final build of OS X Mavericks is available for download.
A seeding program which uses select customers to test upcoming releases of major new software products, AppleSeed
is now offering OS X Mavericks as a free download from the Mac App Store.
Carrying the build number 13A598, this Mavericks release should be identical to the GM (Golden Master) version seeded to developers yesterday. Apple seems determined to launch its major new Mac OS to the public this month.
Mavericks contains a range of new features, including iCloud Keychain, Finder tabs and tags, a fresh Safari browser with a cool new sidebar, iBooks and Maps (for the first time on the desktop), an enhanced Notification Center, and lots more subtle changes.
