Apple Now Sells Juice Pack Air for iPhone 4

Mophie, the company behind some of the world’s most popular iDevice accessories, has announced the juice pack air snap case for iPhone 4. The gadget is now available at Apple retail and online stores, the company said.

Previously available only for iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS, the juice pack air for iPhone 4 is said to deliver the same power to Apple's hot selling smartphone, with its lightweight and ultra-thin design, featuring a bottom cap snap mechanism for easy access to the dock connector and a completely open top.

In addition to providing a snap case, the soft-touch rubber finish prevents slipping and provides the same protection bumps, bangs and drops as its predecessors, mophie said.

"As a company, we strive to produce innovative solutions that are ultra-thin, lightweight and complement the device's original look and feel," said Ross Howe, senior director, product marketing, mophie.

"It was a natural move for us to develop the juice pack air snap case for iPhone 4, providing users with enhanced battery power and protection fans have come to expect from mophie."

Most importantly, though, the juice pack air will be purchased for its ability to extend battery life.

It packs a 1500mAh rechargeable lithium polymer battery which gives users up to an additional 6 hours on 3G, up to 12 hours on 2G, of talk time; up to 36 extra hours of audio playback; and 9 hours more video playback.

The product advertising page also mentions an Acoustic Sound Enhancement.

Apparently, the case design acts as a virtual speaker box that provides a richer, fuller sound quality, by redirecting sound from the bottom of iPhone 4 to the front.

Users needn’t worry about snapping the case on and off as mophie has included a pass-through USB cable that allows for the simultaneous charging and syncing of the iPhone 4 to iTunes.
