Game developer Ken Carpenter of Mind Juice Media confirms that Apple will now reject any game that tries to capitalize on the Flappy Bird hype.

The mobile developer reports on Twitter (click at your discretion, the guy isn't exactly holding his language back) that his Flappy Dragon was rejected by the iTunes Review Team because the app's name seems to be riding the Flappy Bird hype.

Apple reportedly told Mr. Carpenter, “We found your app name attempts to leverage a popular app.”

Whether or not Carpenter’s Flappy Dragon was indeed a Flappy Bird clone isn’t certain at this point. What’s certain is that the name “Flappy” doesn’t ring well with Apple anymore.

I can’t say that I’m too surprised about this. Apple has rejected apps for far less than this, and the Flappy clones attack was getting pretty obvious. What’s the point of bragging about having a million apps on offer if you’re selling duplicates by the thousands, right?
