A job opening posted relatively recently by Apple still needs an applicant who is eager to support Apple's Global Compensation Services team in "documenting current processes, identifying possible solutions, and managing implementation and process change."

The Compensation Services Process Analyst “Must be familiar with payroll and/or HR best practices for AMR/EMEA/APAC regions,” Apple says.

The new recruit “Will develop and maintain effective tools and databases for all groups within Compensation Services.”

This person is also tasked with working closely with external vendors and various internal organizations.

These include HR, Benefits, Compensation and IS&T in projects that require development of automated/systematic solutions involving confidential data, Apple says.

Other responsibilities are listed as follows:

• documenting systems and processes and developing training for Compensation Services and other employees who use CS-specific tools,

• coordinating issue resolution for workforce management, payroll and HR systems,

• providing IS&T ticket support for both CS-initiated and CS-assigned issues, and

• ensuring the accuracy and security of confidential information in a SOX-compliant environment.

There’s more, though. On top of all this, Apple wants this person to have “strong problem solving and analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to develop solutions according to changing business needs.”

As far as experience goes, the Compensation Services Process Analyst needs to know his way around ADP, Filemaker Pro, Excel and BBEdit or other Text Editor applications.

Earlier this month, Apple withdrew a requirement tied to Microsoft’s Excel from one of its job postings.

The job was for Chef de Cuisine, and is no longer posted on Apple’s web site, which means someone nabbed it in the meanwhile.

Back to the Compensation Services Process Analyst Apple needs, ADP Globalview or Kronos experience is considered a plus, the Mac maker outlines.

Additionally, this person is required to have HR, Payroll and/or Time & Attendance experience.

Apple elaborates, saying “Candidate should have experience with securing and protecting confidential data.”

Finally, the job description mentions 20 - 30% Domestic and International Travel and BA/BS with 3-5 years experience.

The position is for an Austin, Texas office.
