It is rumored that Apple will soon become a mobile payments processor, and a recent update on the company’s Support site further hints at this initiative.

This is only the latest in a string of clues that suggests Apple is getting serious about handling more payments for iTunes/Apple ID holders.

The company explains that “When you make a purchase from the iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, or Mac App Store, you must use the store that matches the country where you live.”

Support document HT6119 expressly states that “If you move to a new country, you can change the country of your existing account on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Mac or PC.”

Customers are given a lengthy list of instructions to change their country on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, and a separate instruction set for changing the country on Mac or PC.
