One of Steve Jobs’ legacies, the redesigned glass cube sitting atop of the entrance of the flagship Apple Store on Fifth Avenue, NYC, is to be unveiled this Friday, according to reports.

The November 4th unveiling reportedly matches the original permits that estimated an “early November” completion of the project.

Steve Jobs dedicated much of his time to the redesign, which involved replacing the previously 90 slabs of glass with just 15 seamless pieces of glass.

The developer contracted by Apple to carry out the remodeling reportedly said, “[Steve Jobs] is solely responsible for the cube. I had different shapes and different ideas, and his cube was somewhat different than what it is now, but it’s Steve Jobs’s idea.”

It is believed that Apple will issue a notice to the media (one way or another) shortly before the unveiling.
