In tandem with the iPhone 4S announcement yesterday, Apple quietly introduced a new service for customers looking to have a long, steady relationship with their handset - AppleCare+ (plus).

The new service covers the iPhone for up to two accidents and costs $99 (around 74 Euros) to buy. However, each accident will have you forking out an additional 49 bucks.

Besides the accident coverage, customers get the rest of the AppleCare benefits, including Genius Bar appointments and phone support.

AppleCare+provides repair or replacement coverage from Apple-authorized technicians for both parts and labor.

Service coverage includes the actual phone, the battery, as well as the included earphones and accessories.

As with the standard AppleCare service, AppleCare+ must be purchased together with new covered equipment. Interested parties can visit the AppleCare+ Terms and Conditions for complete product details.
