iOS 8 Beta 4 was released on Monday and the new features keep pouring. One of the new default apps that comes with iOS 8 is called "Tips."

The icon has a light bulb on a green background, and when you open the app, you get seven Tips. Apple will probably release new ones before the final version of iOS 8 is out. The splash screen actually says "Check back for new tips every week" and then it has a link to a page about iOS 8. The app itself is a Beta and the final design may change.

If you open it, you will find tips about notifications, Siri or messages. Here's the complete list:
1. Quickly respond to a notification – It will tell you what your options are when you receive a notification. For example, with an iMessage, pull down and you can reply right there.
2. Notify me when there's a reply – In Mail.app, if you are waiting for a message just tap the Flag button and select "Notify me" in the menu that appears afterwards.
3. Hey, Siri – It will teach you how to get Siri's attention hands-free. You have to enable this feature in the Settings. Then, whenever your iPhone or iPad is connected to a power source, just say the magic words and make a request.
4. Send a spoken message – It will show you the new Microphone button in the text field of Messages.app. Touch and hold it to record and then swipe up to send it. If you swipe left, you will delete the recording.
5. Quickly manage your mail – You can swipe a message to the right to flag or mark it read. Swipe left for other options and swipe farther to delete it. You can change the actions in Settings - Mail - Swipe Options.
6. Be in the shot – This one will tell you how to use the shutter timer to include yourself in your photos.

Apple also launched the beta version of their new mini-website - iOS Tips and Tricks

The site is available in 39 different languages around the globe and it offers the same info as the above-mentioned app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Each Tip is illustrated with a big photo and it has two buttons at the bottom, "Helpful" / "Not Helpful." It appears that Apple will update both the website and the app with new tips every week.

Interestingly enough, this is not the first Apple mini website offering iPhone Tips. There's already an iPhone 5s Tips and Tricks page with lots of great information and nice illustrations to make it easier to understand by the new users.
