Apple has released a new version of the Apple TV software adding the ability to browse and play purchases from your iCloud account, Bluetooth keyboard support, AirPlay audio, and more.

Apple TV 5.2 arrives with enhancements for iTunes in the Cloud users, allowing them to browse and play their purchased iTunes music directly from iCloud. Apple cautions that the feature is not available in all countries.

You can now use an Apple Wireless Keyboard to control the Apple TV, and send stereo audio from movies, TV shows, and other videos on Apple TV to AirPlay-enabled devices.

The update further includes performance and stability improvements. Areas where maintenance has been carried out include the iTunes Store, AirPlay, Netflix, iTunes Match, and wired Ethernet connections.

The Apple TV 5.2 software update is free for all owners of a second- or third-generation Apple TV.
