Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 3.5

For Aperture 3 and iPhoto 11 users, Apple has rolled out Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 3.5, which adds RAW image compatibility for the following cameras, according to a technote posted on the Downloads area of Apple’s Support section.

- Canon PowerShot G12
- Leica D-Lux 5
- Leica V-Lux 2
- Nikon D7000
- Nikon COOLPIX P7000
- Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF2
- Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH2

The Mac maker directs customers to Support document HT3825 for more information on supported RAW formats.

Aperture, Apple’s professional photography Mac OS X software, is currently available at version 3.1.1.

The relatively recent update addresses compatibility issues with the iLife Media Browser, improves reliability when upgrading existing libraries, and fixes problems with publishing content to the web.

Overall stability is also improved, according to the release notes for the latest version of Aperture.

MobileMe Control Panel for Windows

MobileMe Control Panel, the application required to manage iDisk settings, as well as syncing of contacts, calendars, and bookmarks on a Windows PC, has been updated to version 1.6.5, Apple announced today.

“This update fixes issues and improves reliability for the new MobileMe Calendar in Outlook,” reads a technical note over at Apple Support.

“MobileMe is the online service from Apple that automatically syncs your email, contacts, and calendars over the air across all your devices,” the Mac maker outlines.

“It also helps you find your lost iPhone or iPad,” the company adds, referring to “Find My iPhone,” a feature recently made available for free in iOS 4.
