As strange as it may sound, Apple does not document the release of its iTunes Connect Mobile app on the News and Announcements section of its iPhone Dev Center. Yet, the application is available from the iTunes App Store for the iPhone, iPod touch and the iPad. The app keeps iPhone devs informed about their sales numbers, and trends.

As explained by Apple, iTunes Connect Mobile allows developers to monitor their App Store sales on the go. “The iTunes Connect Mobile application allows developers to access their sales and trend data from iTunes Connect. You can now view your daily and weekly sales data related to updates, paid and free apps as well as In-App purchases. Whether at the office, at home or on the go, iTunes Connect Mobile keeps you informed about your sales numbers right on your iPhone or iPod touch.” The requirements for the app also specify that the iPad is compatible, while the required iPhone OS version is 3.0 or later.

The application hasn’t been out for long and Apple has already issued an update to correct an issue preventing some accounts from logging in to the app. Now at version 1.0.1, iTunes Connect Mobile is available for free download from the iTunes App Store (download link available below).

Apple has also recently announced that developers can now submit their iOS 4 apps for approval in the App Store. “Submit Your iOS 4 App Today,” an announcement over at the iPhone Dev Center on Apple’s website reads. “Log in to iTunes Connect and submit your iOS 4 application now, so it will be ready for sale when iOS 4 is available to iPhone and iPod touch users,” the company reveals under the News and Announcements section for iPhone developers.

“Make sure you have built and tested your app using iOS 4 and iPhone SDK 4 GM seed available from the iPhone Dev Center,” Apple adds. The Safari Development Program and the iAd Network are also open for developers to start coding Safari extensions, and to implement vivid, rich media ads into iOS 4 apps, respectively.
