Apple’s professional video editing software, Final Cut Pro X has been updated to version 10.0.2 with a few fixes that address some user-reported issues.

On the Mac App Store, Apple reveals that Final Cut Pro X version 10.0.2 fixes an issue where a title may revert to the default font after restarting the application.

The update further resolves an issue that could cause files recorded with certain third-party mobile devices to play back incorrectly, and addresses a stability issue caused by changing the start time on a Compound Clip, Apple says.

The release supersedes version 10.0.1, which improved overall stability and performance, and added a bunch of new features when it was released in September. Those new features include:

• Export audio and video stems as a single multitrack QuickTime movie or as separate files using Roles • Import and export XML to support third-party workflows • Place Projects and Events on Xsan to improve collaboration between editors • Set custom starting timecode for your projects • Add transitions to connected clips in a single step • Enable full-screen view in OS X Lion • Speed up delivery with GPU-accelerated export

Final Cut Pro X requires an Intel-based Macintosh computer running Mac OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) or later, and a 64-bit processor. Customers also need at least 2GB of RAM (4GB of RAM recommended), Intel HD Graphics 3000 or later with 256MB of VRAM, a display with 1280-by-768 resolution or higher, and roughly 2.4GB of disk space.

Apple sells Final Cut Pro X for $299.99 exclusively in the Mac App Store, but the Cupertino computer giant also allows interested parties to download and try out the software for free for a month. Final Cut Pro X is the successor of Final Cut Pro 7.
