iTunes Match users who opted to use the paid service when it debuted last year are being reminded that their subscriptions are about to get renewed automatically.

With iTunes Match, all your music gets sucked up to iCloud for easy access from all your devices.

Aiming to avoid any confusion among iTunes users who applied for the $24.99 / €20.00 annual service, Apple is sending out emails to iTunes Match customers reminding them that their credit cards are about to get charged again.

“Continue to enjoy your entire music collection in iCloud on your iOS devices, iTunes, and Apple TV,” reads the email.

“iTunes Match stores not only your songs purchased on the iTunes Store, but all of the other great music you have acquired over the years, including music from CDs.”

Apple then clarifies that, “This is just a reminder that your subscription for iTunes Match will automatically renew on 11/14/12 and you will be charged $24.99 at that time.”

To change the auto-renewal setting, or to renew their subscriptions, customers are instructed to sign in to iTunes on their computer and go to their Account Information page.

iTunes Match determines which songs in your collection are available in the iTunes Store and automatically adds any music with a match to iCloud. Even better is that the service plays back from iCloud at 256-Kbps AAC DRM-free quality, even if your original song was of lower quality.

“Since there are more than 26 million songs in the iTunes Store, chances are your music is already in iCloud,” Apple says. “And for the few songs that aren’t, iTunes uploads what it can’t match.”

In other words, you’ll never have to worry about uploading an entire music library to iCloud.
