On the heels of Mac OS X 10.5.3, a number of security updates, as well as the release of Logic Pro 8.0.2, Logic Express Update 8.0.2 is now available for Apple's Logic Express 8 users. The program offers powerful production tools just as Logic Pro 8, including full notation, 24-bit/192kHz resolution and Quick Swipe comping. The 73.7MB update is available for download at this address.

"Logic Express 8.0.2 addresses specific customer and compatibility issues of Logic Express 8.0", Apple's support page reveals. As it usually goes, "this update is recommended for all Logic Express 8.0 users." You can perform the update in two ways: either download the installer package available right here, or update by opening Software Update (Apple Menu -> Software Update).

Apple has also released an update for Logic Pro 8.0 users recently. The update addresses specific customer and compatibility issues of Logic Pro 8.0 and includes Wavebuner 1.5.2 and Impulse Response Utility 1.0.2. The last two address issues for Waveburner 1.5 and Impulse Response Utility 1.0 respectively.

If you are using Logic Node, Apple claims you will need to update your Logic Node application on connected computers as well. After running the updater, you should find something called "Logic Node 8.0.2.dmg" in your Utilities folder. That's your updated Logic Node installer. All Logic Pro 8.0 users should install this update, according to the electronics giant.

In case you needed something to boost up your confidence as a Logic Pro/Express user, know that one of the best recognized musicians in the world, Jean Michel Jarre, is a user of Apple computers, but also of Logic Pro and Garage Band for composing, mixing and managing projects. Here you can read some excerpts from the interview Apple France had with the man.
