New services are back online, memberships set to expire get extended further

People enrolled with Apple’s annual $99/€99 developer program are receiving a memo from Cupertino that notifies them of Apple’s progress as it restores the full set of services in its Dev Center.

As the memos before it, the new email from Apple is highly apologetic and is being distributed merely to keep the masses informed about the company’s progress.

“We sincerely appreciate your patience as we work to bring our developer program services back online, and we want to give you an update on our progress,” reads the message.

Apple reveals that most of the developer services in its Mac and iOS Dev Centers are currently online.

These include Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles, the Dev Centers, Software Downloads, Videos, the Apple Developer Forums, iTunes Connect, the Bug Reporter, pre-release documentation, and the App Store Resource Center.

The message continues, with Apple saying it plans to reinstate the majority of the remaining services this week, including Xcode Automatic Configuration which, as of this writing, is already up and running.

License agreements, TSIs, program enrollments, and renewals in Member Center are also set to go live.

As usual, developers can check the availability of the working systems on the System Status page.

Developers whose membership was set to expire during this outage are reminded that Apple has extended their stay in the Developer portal, while their apps will remain untouched on the iOS and Mac App Stores.

“As a reminder, if your membership was set to expire during this downtime, it has been extended and your apps will remain on the App Store and Mac App Store,” Apple says.

“We apologize for the significant inconvenience that our downtime has caused and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you need any assistance,” the Cupertino giant concludes.
