Apple Is Making Preparations for the 500 Millionth Download

In a few days, Apple is expecting the 500 millionth download to be carried out on iTunes.

As it did with other occasions, Apple is making preparations for this event by announcing a series of prizes. In this way, until the 500 million song threshold is reached, each user who downloads the one hundred thousandth song will receive an iPod mini and a card that will allow him to download 50 songs.


The big jackpot, which will be won by the user who downloads the 500 millionth song, consists of 10 iPod players, a card with 10,000 songs and 4 tickets to the Coldplay tour with all expenses paid.

A year ago, somewhere in June, when Apple was exceeding the 100 million download threshold, the company gave away a PowerBook, a 40 GB iPod and a card for 10,000 songs.
