Apple’s public relations department is reportedly reaching out to British journalists that specialize in covering all things iPhone to fly them out to San Francisco next month for the WWDC 2011 keynote address.

Electricpig reports that Apple is undoubtedly launching its new iPhone 4S next month, with Apple’s public relations department inviting “the team dedicated to all things iPhone” to the WWDC event hosted 6-10 June at Moscone West, San Francisco, California.

The site weighs in on the possibility of seeing an iPhone 5 at WWDC 2011, and claims the clues point out to an iPhone 4S announcement instead.

It is believed Apple will keep the iPhone 4 design while upgrading the handset internally with an A5 chip, better cameras, HSPA+ support, and more.

According to recent leaks, Apple also seems poised to move the LED flash away from the back facing camera onto the opposite top corner of the handset to resolve the trouble some users have reported - washed out pictures, redeye effect etc.

Apple confirmed in March that this year’s five-day conference will see the company unveil “the future of iOS and Mac OS.”

WWDC 2011 will include demonstrations of the new kinds of apps that developers can build using Apple’s advanced frameworks, as well as over 100 technical sessions presented by engineers that are on Apple’s payroll.

Although not confirmed by Apple, the event is also expected to feature an iOS 5 announcement. Apple is said to have dropped support for some old-generation devices, but this remains to be confirmed by the Cupertino company itself.

What is sure to happen at WWDC 2011 is the unveiling of a likely finished OS X Lion for the Macintosh fan base.

Apple’s latest desktop operating system borrows key graphical elements from iOS (specifically the iPad version), in an attempt to make navigation through its interface even more intuitive.
