Apple is throwing in new tools and animation effects for users of iAd Producer, the program used to design and assemble rich, interactive iAd content without any programming.

iAd producer is comprised of a single-window interface for viewing and editing ad layouts and settings. Users can employ project templates with pre-built ad structure, such as banners, splash pages, and menus.

The platform offers an array of page layouts, controls, and interactive elements, and the upmost sophisticated object animation tools. These come with precise control over event timing and object properties.

iAd producer lets developers create custom elements for use in iAd advertising that they can reuse, and includes advanced JavaScript code editing and debugging, as well as a simulator for Mac and iOS devices.

Now, according to a new entry on the Mac maker’s News and Announcements section for Apple devs, “New tools and animation effects in iAd Producer 2.0 make it even easier to build great iAds.”

“Create sophisticated animations with precise control over object properties like position, opacity, size, color and shadow,” Apple explains. “Get instant, one-click access to any object or element on a page with the new object list. Make your iAds better and faster with new validation tools that identify optimization opportunities and common errors,” reads the announcement.

Interested parties are then taken to the official iAd Producer marketing page for more information on how to profit off using the tool.

The official release notes for iAd Producer 2.0 are also made public. Apple documents the following new additions:

- New animation tools with pre-built effects as well as precise control over object position, scale, opacity, and other attributes. - New page objects: Map View, Mosaic View, Multi View, Store View, and Zoetrope. - Improved tools for validating iAd projects and identifying optimization opportunities. - Page-by-page controls for image pre-loading. - Code editing improvements.
