The US Patent & Trademark Office has published Apple's latest trademark application for the "Briefing Room" under application 85133045, according to PatentlyApple.

Filed under two yet identified International Classes covering retail services and technical consulting, Apple’s trademark comes with a supplied specimen which shows that the service is available at the Apple Store in Minneapolis Minnesota.

However, as later revealed by Patently Apple via secondary sources, Apple also has Briefing Rooms in Shanghai, Paris and Chicago stores.

It is believed that the new Apple Store Business Class service is going international, now that Apple has filed its trademark application.

Some international class details about the trademark are extracted from the documentation and presented as follows:

International Class A: Retail store services featuring computers, computer software, computer peripherals and consumer electronics, and demonstration of products relating thereto. International Class B: Technical consulting services pertaining to computer hardware, computer software and consumer electronics.

As noted above, PatentlyApple later gained knowledge that there were Briefing Rooms at the Apple Stores in Shanghai, Paris, and Chicago, the latter being confirmed by the Shanghaiist.

Some actual information about the characteristics of Apple Briefing Rooms, including how they are used, is provided by the blog.

It notes that Apple's Briefing Room is "kept separate from the noisy hustle and bustle of the rest of the [Shanghai Apple] store."

Moreover, the room has "built-in monitors, a worldwide iChat function, and speakers built into the ceiling, making for the ultimate conference call. There are also other Apple products on hand in the room like MacBooks and iPods, so businesses can come in and train employees on how to use the new Apple products."

Apple is known to have opened a record 7 new stores this past weekend, two of which are located in China.

The new Apple Store Hong Kong Plaza in Shanghai and the new Apple Store Xidan Joy City in Beijing opened on the same day iPhone 4 launched in the country - September 25.
