The newest App Store submission tip from Apple - Preparing In App Purchase Items for App Review - is online, with Cupertino outlining the basics of preparing in-app purchase items for review.

On October 20, Apple announced Mac OS X Lion and the Mac App Store.

CEO Steve Jobs promised to have the Mac App Store ready for launch in about 90 days since the sneak peek. The service should go live no later than January 2011.

According to the Mac maker, “All In App Purchase items are reviewed each time they are submitted.”

The company believes that the following submission tips will help devs better prepare their in app purchase items for review.

One piece of advice goes, “If you are using In App Purchase for the first time, be sure to submit both the In App Purchase items and the binary at the same time. Don't forget that every item you want to offer must first be created in iTunes Connect.”

Another scenario has developers the 'Submit with Binary' option in iTunes Connect, should they send plan to upload In App Purchase items at a later time.

“If you are submitting your In App Purchase items for a binary you plan to upload at a later time, choose the 'Submit with Binary' option in iTunes Connect,” says Apple. “This will ensure that the application and the In App Purchase items go live at the same time.”

Developers whose In App Purchase items are delivered from their server, must ensure that “it is on and ready so that the App Review Team can access your In App Purchase items,” another tip goes.

“Provide clear and accurate screenshots and descriptions for your In App Purchase items,” Apple adds.

Finally, developers must not submit test versions of their In App Purchase items for review, according to the Cupertino, California-based giant.

More details about submitting In App Purchase items are offered in the iTunes Connect Developer Guide which specifically targets developers enrolled with Apple’s programs.
