Apple has changed their home page to commemorate only three people so far. The first one was Steve Jobs, back in October of 2011, followed by the South African leader, Nelson Mandela and now the late Robin Williams gets the same honor.

The box on the far left side of the home page has a black and white photo of the actor and comedian, his name and the year he was born (1951) followed by 2014. If you click the box, it will take you to a special page and the same picture in a larger size.

Apple's message is short and solemn: "We are deeply saddened by the passing of Robin Williams. He inspired us through his passion, his generosity, and the gift of laughter. He will be greatly missed"

This is the third gesture Apple has done for Robin Williams. The day after he passed away, iTunes has put together a special page with all of his movies, divided into Comedies, Drama and the audio recordings of his stand-up acts from two different venues along with a link to his most recent TV show.

Tim Cook, the tech giant's CEO, tweeted a message about Robin Williams.

The actor was involved with Apple's latest iPad campaign – Your Verse. The guys in Cupertino have used his monologue from the movie "Dead Poets Society" to underline the message in an iPad ad that talks about pursuing your dreams and do something for others.
