Apple's Applications engineering team is seeking “an enthusiastic Cocoa engineer” to help the company “re-imagine how user interfaces should be built and work.”

With Scott Forstall out the door and Jonathan Ive now in charge of Human Interface, Apple is rumored to prepare a complete redesign of its software, both on mobile platforms, and on the desktop.

The Cupertino, California-based company says the ideal candidate for the iLife Software Engineer position should be “a highly-motivated and proactive individual with a strong technical knowledge of Cocoa application or framework development as well as experience in delivering excellent user experience innovations in shipping applications.”

The new recruit will need to have experience in delivering reusable UI frameworks, as well as some Agile development background.

A degree in HCI and a BS in Computer Science is also a must. Applicants will also need “a good sense of UI design and user-oriented focus.”

Yep, sounds like this guy / gal will be working under Ive’s guidance.
