New role at Apple requires "identifying, engaging and securing world-class candidates"

Apple has opened up a spot for Technical Recruiter. The position is for Israel, but the office will be located (at least until this person warms up) in London, UK.

This is the first time Apple introduces this role, according to the job description. “This is an autonomous/ self-contained role that reports to the Head of Corporate Recruiting for EMEIA and manages a small team,” reads the ad.

The recruit will be responsible for “identifying, engaging and securing world-class candidates for Apple in Israel.”

To achieve this, the new staffer will be required to create effective sourcing strategies, build lasting relationships, provide high levels of customer service, and secure talent.

Some of the key activities that will be carried out include hands-on delivery of recruitment against open roles, working closely with local R&D people & HR leadership, implementation and maintenance of recruitment programs (both globally and locally), and making sure the local process & approach is globally consistent by “liaising with the hardware engineering recruiting team in the US.”

The recruit will also be required to represent the Israel recruitment team in EMEIA / Global meetings and projects, and ultimately master Apple recruiting support system and processes Management / leadership of a team.

To even have a shot at this position, this person will be required to have “strong technical recruiting experience within a hardware and/ or software engineering environment,” and a dozen more skills and past experiences in the field. Fluent English (written & verbal) is a must.

Required “competencies” include:

- Excellent analytical skills - A passion for detail as well as analysis of data from high-level view with a natural ability to look at the “total picture”. - Customer focused, with the ability to manage and influence external relationships. - Strong influencing skills with the ability to liaise across the business, often within a non-finance capacity is paramount. - Good interpersonal savvy-ness combined with a strong commercial instinct with the credibility to influence people at all levels.
