Apple is hiring a Georgia man for his design skills on the iOS platform. Jan-Michael Cart is leaving to California in less than a month to begin work at the company as an intern.

Some of you may know Jan-Michael Cart for his brilliant iOS interface concepts. He’s the guy who pretty much thought out the entire Notification Center for Apple months ahead of the iOS 5 release.

On his blog, he writes: “Soon I will be embarking to California, where I will be interning at a fruit company for seven months. I will be updating this to chronicle my adventures and misadventures in the Bay Area for my family, friends, and followers online. Stay tuned, I leave in less than a month!”

One of his iOS 5 concepts - Faster App Switching - is embedded above.
