“Join us in changing the way our customers […] enjoy software on OS X”

A new job posting on Apple’s website suggests we’re in for some changes in the way we “purchase, download, update and enjoy software on OS X.”

Apple has opened up a software engineering spot in the Mac App Store division and it needs to fill it with “an experienced, creative and energetic engineer to join us in changing the way our customers purchase, download, update and enjoy software on OS X.”

The key takeaway from this job advert is the timely use of the word “changing,” followed by a lowdown of the Mac App Store's key features. Why would Apple want to change it? Easy. To offer an even more compelling experience.

Admittedly, we’re not 100% sure Apple’s wording is indicative of a major overhaul, but we love to dream. And we know you do, too.
