A new section at “iPhone in Business” on Apple's site highlights the best applications and Enterprise technologies supported by the iPhone for business users.

“Stay on top of your business and accomplish everyday work tasks in a whole new way. With iPhone and amazing apps that get you the information you need at a moment’s notice, your work day is anything but ordinary,” Apple states.

The neatly-arranged guide is broken down into five major categories: organize your day; view your business; manage projects; meet anywhere; and travel light.

Every bullet point features cool graphics and an accompanying video that shows off the apps in action.

Apple highlights Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Reminders, and iMessage as the iPhone’s built-in apps geared towards organizing, as well as third-party solutions like Things, Orchestra To-Do, Yammer, and Jive.

“iPhone gives you all the tools you need to stay on schedule and get you through the day. Easily manage all your work tasks, connect with colleagues and customers, and stay updated on meetings and agendas,” Apple states.

To “view your business” properly, you iPhone must be equipped with Roambi Analytics Visualizer, MicroStrategy, and BusinessObjects explorer, just to name a few of the solutions Apple recommends.

“Keep tabs on your customers, work performance, and accounting data anywhere. With iPhone, there’s no need to carry printed spreadsheets or a laptop to retrieve business critical information when you need it,” says to the company run by Tim Cook.

“And if you’re an independent contractor, you can use iPhone to record billable hours, send and track invoices for multiple clients and projects.”

For managing projects, you may want to download OmniFocus for iPhone, Marketcircle’s Daylite Touch, or Outpost 2 - Basecamp.

For project collaboration at a distance, Cisco WebEx Meetings is the first of many highlighted apps.

Finally, to make the iPhone a great travel companion, the App Store holds numerous useful titles, including TripIt, FlightTrack Pro, and KAYAK.
