Apple is using new graphics to highlight the age rating for every iOS app on the iTunes App Store. The highlight now uses a prominent box which makes it easier to spot those titles that may be inappropriate for some audiences.

The image above shows the rating box in all its glory. For those of you wondering why the innocent Opera web browser has a 17+ rating, it’s because web browsers are gateways to every single nasty thing you can lay your eyes on while surfing the Internet.

The change was spotted by the folks at appadvice.

Apple has been making slight, but significant adjustments to the iOS interface of the iTunes App Store ever since it bought Chomp, an app discovery startup whose IP is now leveraged by Apple to provide customers with a more intuitive browsing experience of the digital distribution venue.
