Apple is sending out emails to former MobileMe subscribers notifying them that an @icloud email address awaits to be used. Former @me and @mac addresses will continue to work, according to the Mac maker.

Cupertino is reaching out to customers notifying them that “all new iCloud Mail accounts now come with an @icloud.com email address.”

Apple is offering this address to existing users with the clarification that “We have reserved [MobileMe user name]@icloud.com for you, and you can now use this address with your iOS devices and computers by following these simple instructions.”

The company also confirms that customers who prefer to use their old email address will be able to do so. “If you prefer, you can continue to use your current email address just as you always have,” reads Apple’s message.

Customers will continue to receive all their email at their @me.com, @mac.com, or @icloud.com address, no matter which one they’re logged with.
