Apple has finally redesigned its Podcasts app to match the look and feel of iOS 7. While at it, the Cupertino company decided to throw in some new features and tweaks. Existing users will be mighty pleased.

Podcasts version 2.0 comes with a complete redesign matching iOS 7 graphics. The Podcasts Store can be found in the Featured tab, while the new Search tab promises to make your experience more worthwhile.

Top Charts now lists podcasts and episodes in a simpler way, and you can now view your stations as a list of episodes. Alternately, you can group them by podcast.

Your shows now automatically update with new episodes whenever they’re available, even when you’re doing something else. You can even specify how often the Podcasts app can check for updates.

iCloud integration keeps your subscriptions, stations, and play position synced across other devices you might own, such as Apple TV and iTunes on your Mac or PC.

Finally, for those of you screaming at the top of your lungs that Podcasts is buggy, “This version of Podcasts also includes improvements to responsiveness and playback performance,” says Apple.
