Believe it or not, Apple is one hardware manufacturer hard at work getting its systems optimized for Windows Vista. The fact of the matter is that the high-end ultimate edition of Windows Vista would integrate superbly on the new 24-inch iMac. Just take a look at the system configuration. The new iMac brings to the table the "latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors running up to 2.8 GHz with 4MB of shared L2 cache and up to 4GB of 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM memory. The iMac line features ATI's next generation of graphics with the ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO with 256MB of GDDR3 memory and the ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT with 128MB of GDDR3 memory. The new iMac now offers
up to 1TB of internal storage to accommodate a user's growing library of digital photos, movies and music," according to Apple.

Still in doubt? Well how about the new glass enclosures of the designs introduced by the Cupertino-based company just a few days ago? Now the Windows Vista Aero interface will be able to extend to the hardware as well. Apple is got everything figured out in order to make iMac users buy Vista. the "elegant glass cover" in tone with Windows Aero and the system configuration tailor fitted on the specifications of Vista Ultimate are excellent arguments in this aspect. "This new iMac is the most incredible desktop computer we've ever made," said Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO. "Our new design features the innovative use of materials, including professional-grade aluminum and glass, that are highly recyclable."

But the new iMac will be just a piece of dead hardware. Apple users will need Vista to bring it to life. And in order to run Vista on the new iMac computers the Cupertino-based company is delivering BootCamp Public Beta. Now, it is not a coincidence that Apple has updated BootCamp to version 1.4 on the heels of releasing the new iMacs. Users are simply pointed in the right direction, especially with the upcoming Mac OS X Leopard dropping in October. "Boot Camp 1.4 beta includes: support for keyboard backlighting (MacBook Pro only); Apple Remote pairing; updated graphics drivers; improved Boot Camp driver installer; improved international keyboard support; localization fixes and updated Windows Help for Boot Camp," Apple revealed.

You will of course be able to download Apple Boot Camp 1.4 Public Beta from here.
