In light of Electronic Arts and Maxis shipping Spore's first add-on this week, Apple is advertising the Spore: Creepy & Cute Parts Pack on its web site, providing readers with a link to the US Apple Store for order.

Spore Creepy & Cute Parts Pack is the first add-on for Spore, Will Wright's God game available on Mac, PC and mobile platforms, including the iPhone and iPod touch. The Spore Creepy & Cute Parts Pack expands the world of the game, offering players over 100 new components for the creation creatures, an additional 60 creature parts are to be found inside the pack, while exclusive paint options count 48, with 24 new animations - including the robot, hoe-down, moonwalk dances, also making their way into the expansion.

“Tens of millions of creatures have been uploaded to the official SPOREpedia since the game’s launch, but there’s always room for more,” says Apple. “Perhaps you’d like to create something with big batting eyelashes — drawing unsuspecting creatures to their doom when they encounter its gaping mouth full of razor-sharp teeth. This is where the Spore: Creepy & Cute Parts Pack comes in. Retailing for $19.95, the Spore Creepy & Cute Parts Pack offers components and animations in two distinct styles: cute/cartoon and scary/monster. “The Parts pack gives you even greater freedom to customize your creatures, and make the scariest monsters or cutest critters possible,” the company says.

Spore Creepy & Cute is compatible with both Creature Creator Complete and the Spore full game. the Spore Creepy & Cute Parts Pack require Spore, or at least the full version of Spore Creature Creator.
