Apple Gambles on Podcasting

Being the result of blog and iPod, up until now, podcasting has been somehow neglected by Internet users, although some radio stations have decided to broadcast their information as podcasts.

After all, how hard is, from technical point of view, to make a podcast? Do you need special software? Do you need special knowledge? Not at all! It is as easy as recording your voice in MP3 format.

A microphone,
a sound card, software to record and transform the audio file in MP3 format, is all the equipment you need.

It's a little bit more complicated to upload your podcast on the Internet, but there are sites, like www.ippoder.org or www.podcastalley.com, which tell everything you need to know on how to make your podcasts available to anyone.

And considering that now iTunes also supports podcasts, Apple has published a document on how they can be uploaded into iTunes.

If a simple podcast is not good enough for you, Apple has a document for you on how to create an Enhanced Podcast.
As for how to make your podcast interesting, I'm afraid that is out of our league.
