Apple today released the latest Yosemite beta to developers, continuing its focus on four key areas of the OS as highlighted in the build before it. The public launch date of OS X 10.10.2 is unknown as of yet.

OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 build 14C106a is the latest beta seeded to registrants of the Mac Developer Program. The release notes mention Wi-Fi, Mail, VoiceOver, Bluetooth as the areas in need of testing. The first three have been a focus of the 10.10.2 development cycle since inception, while Bluetooth was only recently added to the roster.

General bug fixes

Being only the second incremental update planned for release after the official debut of Yosemite, OS X 10.10.2 doesn’t have much in store for us in terms of new features, or even significant performance updates. Instead, the update will target annoying bugs and security holes in the operating system.

However, the addition of Bluetooth to the focus areas may signal some sort of connectivity preparations ahead of the Apple Watch rollout. This is mere speculation on our behalf, mind you.

Developers looking to download OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 build 14C106a will need to arm themselves with paid credentials when visiting developer.apple.com. Those who already have a beta installed can simply launch the Mac App Store and look for the new build in the Updates tab.
