Apple has issued a note to members of its developer connection encouraging application sellers to use “short links” for one or more apps to direct users to their country’s own App Store.

On the section reserved for news and announcements for Apple developers, the Cupertino company encourages application sellers to “Provide a simple way for users to find your apps with easy-to-remember App Store Short Links.”

“Using an AppStore.com URL that includes your app or company name, you can create links to a single app or all of your apps,” Apple explains.

The Mac maker further notes that such links will automatically direct users to their country’s respective App Store or Mac App Store, and that they work Internationally. Examples offered by Apple include AppStore.com/Keynote and AppStore.com/Apple.

Developers can access the iOS Developer Library for a quick glance at Technical Q&A QA1633 which details the process of “creating easy-to-read short links to the App Store for your apps and company.”
