A high-specced MacBook Air originally introduced in 2010 is selling at a reported $400 / 315 € discount on Apple’s Special Deals zone, where refurbished products can be ordered from the Cupertino giant.

Equipped with an old-architecture 1.86 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and just two gigs of memory, the refurbished Air selling on Apple’s US store for $799 (around 630 €) compensates with a 13.3-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display, 128GB flash storage, and NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics.

The system is also equipped with a FaceTime camera - an upgrade to the original iSight webcam for video calls, Photo Booth, and other applications. Visit Apple here to check out this offer, as well as the company’s other recent deals on refurbished Macs.

A similarly specced, off-the-shelf MacBook Air with a new-generation processor (1.8GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 with Turbo Boost up to 2.8GHz), more RAM, Intel HD Graphics 4000, and several port upgrades, starts at $1,199.
