Apple Deals Section Remains Unattended for Over a Week

A trio of Mac computers priced at under $1,000 are available over at Apple’s Special Deals area where either few have placed an order in over a week, or Apple has forgotten to include new offerings.

By checking with the Special Deals section of Apple’s online store, Softpedia was surprised to find an almost identical list of offerings to that of last week.

Nevertheless, those who are interested in acquiring a Macintosh computer at a discount are encouraged to check out what Apple is offering.

The cheapest system available for purchase is a Refurbished Mac mini with Snow Leopard Server 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, which packs 4GB of memory, Dual 500GB hard drives (meaning no optical drive), and NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics with 256MB memory.

The system ships with Mac OS X Snow Leopard Server pre-installed, and retails for $749, which amounts to $250 worth of savings.

A Refurbished MacBook 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo can be acquired for $849, minus $150 off its original price.

The computer features a 13.3-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display, 2GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, an 8x double-layer SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW), and NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics with 256MB of DDR3 SDRAM.

Apple forgets to mention that this is one of the new, unibody White MacBook models, which features a built-in 10-hour battery. The laptop also boasts Apple’s ever-present built-in iSight camera.

Finally, for $929 customers can purchase the Refurbished MacBook Pro 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and save $270. The system ships with the same 13.3-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display, 2GB memory, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics, and less storage - a 160GB hard drive.

The 8x SuperDrive is also present on the computer, next to the extra SD card slot.

Apple’s old-generation built-in 7-hour battery and the illuminated keyboard round up the list of features for this particular system.
