With various resellers giving away Apple TVs dirt cheap, and even Apple itself offering the boxes at a discount, rumors are breaking out that the company might finally be poised to launch its hyped iTV.

A product rumored to be in the making for years, the iTV is one of those prospects that many financial analysts have a keen eye on, with the other eye set on the potential profits such a product might yield.

Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray is one such analyst. He’s been singing the iTV tune every year for the past three years, but Apple has been reluctant to revolutionize the living room, as his research indicates it will.

Now, according to a TechnologyTell report, the Cupertino giant might finally be preparing its HDTV set for unveiling.

Their argument is that Apple TVs are getting discounted, and even handed over to customers for free (as part of other deals), which is a clear indication that the company is doing something in this area: “…either […] looking to refresh the device very soon or may be introducing the rumored television set.”
